LARRY RUDOLPH OPENS UB ABOUT "GLORY" & THE ORIGINAL "MAKE ME" MUSIC VIDEO

Larry Rudolph talks about Britney Spears new album, Glory, & its marketing strategy and also finally response about Make Me... video that cause controversy in  Britney's universe!

About Glory:

Disaat Frank Ocean, Rihanna, dan Beyonce merilis album mereka dengan cara konvensional – surprise released in the middle of the night. "What we didn't want to do was a secret release in the middle of the night," Presiden RCA, Tom Corson menjelaskan tentang strategi yang dianut labelnya.

"Pop audiences want to hear something. They want to be informed and educated about [an album] top some degree. Before the advent of streaming, we would have eight to 12 weeks setup cycles for major superstar acts."

"I wanted to go after a whole different vibe and try new things," ujar Britney.

"It's a development process, Usually the first handful of songs is part of figuring (things) out ... and getting to a point where she feels, 'OK, this is it.' "
The goal was to explore the urban and electro-pop beats that drove In the Zone and Blackout, two of her more experimental and lauded albums.

Make Me... Video

As we know it, the Make Me.. music video cause the controversy! As teased by Britney herself for weeks, the video was shot by the legendary David LaChapelle back in June.

Fans were (righfully) pissed. And, likely as an angry response to the backlash, even more of the original LaChapelle video started leaking in low quality. Dan setelah memancing kemarahan fans, diikuti dengan bocor nya Glory di internet tepat satu minggu sebelum dirilis resmi, Larry buka suara tentang kontroversi videonya.

"It's really simple. The video just didn't work. This is the first time we've re-shit a video because it's Britney there are all kinds of conspiracies. Nobody is hiding anything.
Menilik beberapa footage behind-the-scenes yang beredar beberapa bulan yang lalu, Britney sempat beretriak "I don't like it!."

So, like Larry said. It didn't work - for Britney.

Dalam sebuah wawancara dengan Britney-Galaxy beberapa waktu lalu, Britney mengungkapkan pendapatnya tentang video klip Make Me versi Randee St Nicolas.

"The video was definitely fun to make. And I'm really happy with it. One thing that is really great about this video is that it shows you not to take everything so seriously. And that ournlives, friendships, and careers should always be fun!"
